Let’s Explore Power & AI Together!

👨‍🎓 About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering (ECBE) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIU).

I obtained my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from New York University (NYU), where I was advised by Dr. Yuzhang Lin. Prior to that, I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2017 and 2021, respectively.

My research focuses on smart grid monitoring, grid resilience, cyber-physical design and analysis, and AI applications. I have worked with NEC Laboratories America on fiber sensing for grid monitoring and collaborate with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) on resilience and security projects. I have contributed to over eight federally funded and industry-supported projects, with practical impact including adoption by utilities such as Con Edison (New York City) and the New York Power Authority.
